Overview: As a Hardware Engineer for Wearables, you will design and develop the electronic components of wearable IoMT devices. This role requires a deep understanding of electronic circuit design and experience with hardware development tools. You will work remotely, coordinating with a global team to bring innovative medical devices from concept to production.
Responsibilities:
- Design and prototype new electronic circuits for wearable devices.
- Collaborate with software developers and product designers to ensure hardware and software integration.
- Conduct component selection and testing to meet durability and safety standards.
- Oversee the manufacturing process of wearable devices, ensuring design specifications are met.
- Maintain technical documentation and hardware specifications.
Required Skills:
- Strong proficiency in electronic design automation (EDA) tools such as Altium Designer or Cadence.
- Experience with PCB design and layout, as well as with simulation software for circuit behavior.
- Knowledge of microcontrollers, sensors, and wireless communication technologies.
- Ability to perform hands-on hardware testing and troubleshooting.
- Excellent communication skills for collaborating effectively across multidisciplinary teams.
Qualifications:
- Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or related field.
- At least 3 years of experience in hardware development, particularly in wearable technology or medical devices.
- Familiarity with regulatory standards such as ISO 13485 for medical devices is a plus.
- Experience with rapid prototyping and iterative design processes.
- Familiarity with IoT device integration.
