Quality Assurance Engineer for Wearable IoMT Devices (m/w) – Remote, Part-Time

Overview: As a Quality Assurance Engineer specialized in wearable IoMT devices, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that all products meet the highest standards of quality and regulatory compliance. This position involves detailed oversight of both hardware and software components of medical wearables, ensuring they adhere to industry standards and safety regulations. Working remotely, you will collaborate with global teams to implement quality assurance practices throughout the development lifecycle.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement quality assurance policies and procedures for wearable IoMT devices.
  • Conduct rigorous testing phases, including both manual and automated testing, to identify any issues or defects in wearable devices.
  • Collaborate with development teams to ensure that quality issues are resolved in accordance with the corrective action procedures.
  • Manage the documentation process for QA activities, ensuring all test results and compliance activities are accurately recorded.
  • Stay updated on industry regulatory standards such as ISO 13485 and FDA requirements for medical devices, ensuring all wearable products comply.
  • Assist in the preparation of audit plans and support during external and internal audits.
  • Provide training and support to project teams on quality assurance standards and best practices.

Required Skills:

  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, crucial for identifying and solving complex quality issues.
  • Proficiency in using QA software tools and platforms, such as JIRA or Quality Center, to track and manage issues.
  • Experience with automated testing tools like Selenium or TestComplete, especially relevant for testing software applications of wearable devices.
  • In-depth knowledge of regulatory standards applicable to medical devices, particularly those related to wearable technology.
  • Excellent communication skills for effectively collaborating with cross-functional teams and for documenting QA processes and findings.

Qualifications:

  • Degree in Quality Management, Biomedical Engineering, or related field.
  • At least 4 years of experience in quality assurance, with at least 2 years focused on medical devices or technology-driven products.
  • Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) or similar certification is highly desirable.
  • Experience in conducting audits and inspections for medical device compliance.

Work Mode:

  • This is a remote, part-time position allowing for flexible working hours to accommodate project needs and international collaboration.
  • Regular participation in remote meetings and review sessions with project teams to ensure alignment and adherence to quality standards.
