Quality Manager – Dietary Supplements
Reports to: Head of Quality Control
Position Overview: As the Quality Manager for Dietary Supplements, you are responsible for ensuring the quality and compliance of our product line. You will oversee adherence to industry-specific standards and certifications such as GMP, ISO, Kosher, Halal, and Non-GMO. Your role is critical in maintaining the highest quality standards through meticulous oversight and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitoring and Certification:
- Ensure all products and suppliers meet necessary certificates including GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices), ISO (International Organization for Standardization), Kosher, Halal, and Non-GMO standards.
- Conduct regular audits and inspections to verify compliance with these standards.
- Supplier Management:
- Identify and qualify new suppliers that meet high quality and certification requirements.
- Develop and maintain long-term relationships with suppliers to ensure the consistent quality of raw materials and finished products.
- Product Development and Customization:
- Collaborate closely with the R&D department to ensure new products comply with regulatory requirements and company standards.
- Support the development of products that meet specific customer needs and access new market segments.
- Documentation and Reporting:
- Responsible for creating and maintaining accurate documentation regarding quality assurance processes and certification records.
- Generate regular reports on quality trends, audit outcomes, and improvement measures.
- Team Leadership and Training:
- Lead and develop a team of quality control staff.
- Plan and implement training programs to ensure the team is always informed about the latest quality standards and techniques.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Chemistry, Biotechnology, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in quality assurance or in a regulated environment within the dietary supplement industry.
- Extensive knowledge of relevant quality standards and certifications.
- Experience in conducting audits and working with international suppliers.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in English and German.
