Role Overview: The Software Developer/Engineer at Arbitrage Investment AG will be instrumental in developing and supporting innovative software-enabled products for our IoMT (Internet of Medical Things) and wearable technology sectors. This role involves gathering requirements, prototyping, designing, developing, building, unit-testing, documenting (including test and functional documentation), and packaging to ensure our products meet high standards of excellence.
Main Responsibilities & Tasks:
- Gather, analyze, and define requirements for new complex software functionality with input from product managers, customer feedback, and internal development teams.
- Engineer and develop sustainable software systems through prototyping, clear software design, and participation in design reviews.
- Write clear, maintainable, high-quality code optimized for performance and memory usage.
- Implement automated testing at the unit and nightly regression framework levels.
- Validate correct software and hardware system operation.
- Provide support to technical support teams and product development teams as needed.
- Develop and maintain software in .NET and SIMATIC WinCC OA for a modular automation platform.
- Debug and troubleshoot issues in .NET and WinCC OA applications to ensure robust and reliable operation.
- Understand project requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Academic degree in Computer Science/Engineering or a comparable scientific field.
- Minimum 1-5 years of hands-on experience in concepts, design, and development of control/GUI software.
- Excellent development skills with proven high-level proficiency in C#, C/C++, and XML.
- Strong, demonstrable object-oriented and software development skills with the ability to work constructively in a team environment.
- Good experience with modern software engineering processes and methodologies; experience in various stages of the software engineering lifecycle.
- Experience in source code management tools such as Git.
- Familiarity with ALM tools such as Polarion is an advantage.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Must have strong personal initiative and be results-oriented.
